Cupid will premier on your TV screens starting 28^th July 2009, Tuesday at 9.30pm!Cupid is a romantic dramedy about Trevor, a larger than life character who may or may not be the Roman god of love, Cupid, sent to earth to bring couples together.Cupid stars Bobby Cannavale as Trevor, Sarah Paulson as Claire, Rick Gomez as Felix and Camille Guaty as Lita. It is produced by ABC Studios and Rob Thomas serves as executive producer/writer along with executive producers Jennifer Gwartz, Danielle Stokdyk, Dan Etheridge and Bharat Nalluri.“Here’s another absolutely entertaining drama series for our viewers out there!,” said 8TV’s General Manager, Ms Lam Swee Kim.When Trevor Hale ends up in Bellevue for psychiatric evaluation, he explains that he is Cupid, the messenger of love, and has been banished from Mount Olympus. He claims that he is being punished by the other Gods for the modern world's sorry state of love and was sent to Earth without his famed bow and arrow, to rediscover what really makes love work. To ensure this, he must create 100 happily-ever-afters in order to return back to his home in Mount Olympus.While in Bellevue, Trevor is evaluated by the famous psychologist and self-help author, Dr. Claire Allen. After his release she continues to monitor him. Even though Claire disagrees with Trevor's methods, she cannot argue with the sentiment, since she too is dedicated to helping lonely hearts find their soul mates. Despite a feisty doctor-patient relationship, Claire and Trevor have an inexplicable attraction.But these two experts in love could not be more different: he believes love blooms fast and passionate, while she thinks it grows slowly, moderately and sensibly.While he busies himself making matches, she endeavours to figure out who Trevor really is.
