Skateboarding again.

Maybe it was a midlife crisis or just purely spur moment purchase maybe I was not thinking straight. I have  not skated since my college days on my popsicle shaped deck from beer city skateboards.
While I was working  with  Revolution Skateboarding  Magazine , it never occurred to me to skate.  Maybe because  I felt intimidated with the super skilled skaters whom were the backboned of the company back then.

Even though I didn’t  skate anymore but kept my ears to the ground on the latest going on in the skateboarding world locally and aboard. I went to almost all the X games held in Malaysia except one held in bukit Jalil. It was great to see  Pa’din going to US for the Xgames.  The skatebording have  come full circle almost we have our own skate  brands, fully owned skate shop, we have Mont Kiara, Putra Jaya, Shah Alam , Pinang and many more fabulous skateboarding facilities.  I see more kid skateboarding  then before.

Started reading  Concrete Wave  and saw their  TV program on 8TV.  Got me yearning to skate again but I was scared, was I to old for this type sport?  Concrete Wave showed me that,  I’m not the only one going thru this, there are more people my age whom just beginning skate for the first time or old veteran coming back after years of not skating  and having a blast. Concrete wave to me is a all rounded magazine showing all the sub categories  from street, pool, downhill's and more.  Got me itching to skate again or just cruising around would be fun. So I made the plunge and bought myself old school pool deck made by  Cliché  a French Skateboard Company.

Been riding it in the  car park basement of my condo late at night learning  to gain my confidence on the board again.  I yearn to go to the Shah Alam skate park to try the pool there but have not have time yet may be soon I’ make the plunge. At the moment I happy cruising on my board in the basement of my condo.
* Would like to thank Adwin formally of  Push Skateboard shop for the advice on the setup of my deck *
